Classroom Materials

  • Pencils (Should Always Have 5)
  • Highlighters
  • Erasers
  • 3-ring Binder With Tabs For Each Subject
  • Loose Leaf Notebook Paper
  • Composition Notebook
  • Headphones/Earbuds​
  • ALL PERSONAL DEVICES should be TURNED OFF and secured in backpacks. 
  • Devices should not be out during class, unless otherwise instructed by the teacher or with permission. ​​
  • Any violation of this policy will result in device being confiscated and held at the Front Office for a parent/guardian to sign out at the end of the day.  
  • All students are assigned designated Chromebooks/Ipads and are expected to use their designated device. 
  • All student accounts are monitored by Go Guardian and should have no expectation of privacy in relation to their school-related online activity, including email. 

Food & Drink Policy

  • No Food, Candy Or Gum 
  • No Drinks Other Than Water In Class.
  • PLEASE BRING ENOUGH WATER! We live in Florida! 
  • ​No Sharing/Waterfalling-Bring Your Own Water Bottle​
  • No refilling water during class. May refill before school, lunch or during PE (with permission from Coach).

Grading

  • 40%: Tests/Quizzes/Projects 
  • 45%: Classwork Participation
  • 15%: Homework

Assignments

  • All assignments (digital and paper-based) will be posted on Google Classroom. 
  • All Grades, Attendance, and Formal Correspondence on Rediker/Plus Portal. 

Late Assignments

  • Late Assignments may receive 70% credit up to 1 week after original due date. 
  • After 1 week, late assignments will receive a 0. 
  • If you are absent, you are responsible for completing your make-up work (one day for make-up per each day absent).
  • ​If you are absent, you are expected to follow Google Classroom daily and complete all assignments at home. 

Daily Classroom Procedures

  • Come In Quietly And Place Belongings On the Back of Your Chair
  • Sharpen Pencils Before Class Begins.
  • Get Homework Out And Begin Warm Up
  • Always Sit In Your Assigned Seat
  • Please Do Not Leave Your Seat Without Permission From The Teacher. 
  • Need To Use The Restroom? Use The Hand Signal And Sign Bathroom Log.
  • Must Raise Hand To Contribute To Classroom Discussions 
  • Don’t Speak When Others Are Speaking 
  • Please Follow School Policy On Technology Use. Any Improper Use of Classroom Technology May Result In Disciplinary Action.
  • Students Are Not Dismissed From Class Until Directed By Mrs. O’Brien
  • Leave Work Space (Including Lounge Area) Neat And Clean 
  • All Classroom Materials Should Be Returned To The Proper Location After Use.
  • Must Push In Chairs Before Being Dismissed​
