Daily Learning Objective:  
​Unit: Bold Actions
Standards: 
  • LAFS.7.RI.3.7 Compare and contrast a text to an audio, video, or multimedia version of the text, analyzing each medium’s portrayal of the subject (e.g., how the delivery of a speech affects the impact of the words). ​

Warm up: Everyday Edit-First Picture from Space
Practice
:  Rogue Wave Vocab Quiz

Apply:  Students will annotate/markup/cite evidence from 3 Abby Sunderland articles and will find 6-8 pieces of evidence for their argumentative essays. 
Wrap-up: Students should begin filling out a graphic organizer. 
*If finished early, Silent Reading.

Daily Learning Objective: I can carefully organize my cited resources into a well planned graphic organizer. 
​Unit: Bold Actions
Standards: 
  • LAFS.7.W.1.1 Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence.  
Warm-Up: Everyday Edit
Practice: We will review the writing process steps as well as the writing formula for body paragraph composition. 
Apply:
Students will continue to search their articles for 6-8 pieces of evidence to support their claim. Students will create a graphic organizer. 

*If finished early: Students may begin writing their Body paragraphs.

​Homework: Read GBC novels for 30-60 minutes.  Check Google Classroom for this week's Flipgrid prompt. ​​

  • LAFS.7.W.3.8 Gather relevant information from multiple print and digital sources, using search terms effectively; assess the credibility and accuracy of each source; and quote or paraphrase the data and conclusions of others while avoiding plagiarism and following a standard format for citation. 
  • LAFS.7.W.1.1 Write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence. 
Warm-Up: SuccessMaker
Practice:  Student will review how to structure their Introduction paragraphs.
Apply: Students will continue to work on their Abby Sunderland Argumentative Essays by conducting research and gathering evidence. 
Homework: Read GBC novel for 30 minutes​

Warm-Up: Students will listen to the podcast of "The Unexplainable Disappearance of Mars Patel" (Ep. 1)
Practice: After finishing the podcast episode, students will complete listening comprehension questions. 
Apply: Students will continue to work on their Abby Sunderland Argumentative Essays.
