​Unit:  Number The Stars
Standards: 
  • LAFS.6.RL.1.1 Cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. 
  • LAFS.6.RL.1.3 Describe how a particular story’s or drama’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution. 
Warm-Up: Classroom Cereal Grammar 
Practice: Review Chapter 3 questions
Apply: Read Chapter 4
Wrap-up: Begin Ch. 4 questions
​Homework:
  • Read GBC Book for at least 30 minutes. 
  • Finish Ch. 4 Questions

Standards: 
  • LAFS.6.W.1.2 Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content. 
  • LAFS.6.W.3.9 Draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research. 
Warm-Up: Students may study for the first 5 minutes of class. 
Assessment: Students will take NTS Ch. 1-4 Quiz
​Writer's Workshop: -Review the writing process steps. 

​Homework: 
  • Read GBC Book for 30 minutes
  • Flipgrid Assignment (Due Friday) ​ ​
  • Begin NTS Vocab for Ch. 5-8 (Due Friday)

  • ​LAFS.6.W.3.9 Draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research. 
​Writer's Workshop: Students will work on Annotation and Graphic Organizers. 
​Homework: 
  • Read GBC Book for 30 minutes
  • Weekly Flipgrid Assignment
