Daily Learning Objective: Students can find supporting evidence from informational text. 
Unit: Writer's Workshop
Standards: 
  • LAFS.7.W.1.2 Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content. 
  • ​LAFS.7.W.3.9 Draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research. 
Warm up: Classroom Cereal Grammar
Writer's Workshop: Students will continue to annotate and create graphic organizers.  Once graphic organizers have been approved, students may begin writing. 
Homework:
  • Flipgrid Weekly Assignment
  • GBC Read for 30 minutes

Daily Learning Objective: Students write a well organized Introduction paragraph
Unit: Writer's Workshop
Standards: 
  • LAFS.7.W.1.2 Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content. 
  • ​LAFS.7.W.3.9 Draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research. 
Warm up: Introduction paragraph review (mini lesson)
Writer's Workshop: Students should be completed their graphic organizers and should continue to work toward completing their essays. 
Homework:
  • Flipgrid Weekly Assignment
  • GBC Read for 30 minutes
